A little time to reflect.
It's hard to create a Sunday morning service with a large stone weighing down your heart.
Things will be fine again, and the unnamed difficulty will pass.
I just needed to say that somewhere that is safe. Somewhere that no one I serve will see it.

a little iAdvice please
I'm starting a new job, and with that new job, I believe, will come the purchase of a new iPad. What I'm hoping you all can help with is I'm looking for a killer calendar app. I used to use the Franklin-Covey system on paper (back when it was still just Franklin) but now, like many of you, I'm a digi-boy.
Do you have any recommendations? -
Hot nurses.
So I work in this hospital, here in San Francisco, and we have a subset of nurses who I call "aggressively heterosexual, linebacker nurses." Each of them, I'm convinced, played football in college.
Three of them are working in one unit tonight, and it's been all I can do not just to plant myself at the RN station tonight.

At General Assembly in Charlotte, North Carolina. I'm rooming with 2 classmates and Denis, and having a lovely time. Seeing old friends, folks from church and classes. Making new connections.
It's hard to imagine that Denis and I met a year ago this week.
Life is pretty darned great right now! -
Shape Note Fun!
I've decided that I'd like my final piece of music with my internship congregation to be from the Sacred Harp Book. Sadly, I've left it in Michigan, and the public library here doesn't have a copy.
Sigh.
Does anyone here have a copy of Sacred Harp and might be willing to scan #347 and send it to me?

Yesterday was certainly an emotional day.
At school, almost all of us who are currently on campus, and our children, gathered together to watch the exchange of responsibility from George W. Bush to Barack H. Obama. There were applause and tears of joy.
