Blossom Dearie Tribute Post
I'm very sad to learn that my favorite jazz singer passed away in February, and received not a lot of attention, at least I didn't hear about it. Her name was Blossom Dearie. She had little upper range, a very soft voice, wonderful piano skills and a high appreciation for puns. And wayyy back in the day, she was gorgeous. She makes even this ( Read more... ) -

Productive uses of my time
So I and three friends made four apple pies last night. We had a taste test but none of them came out the winner cuz they were all winners. My girlfriend made a bunch of the crusts and I made three of the fillings. Basically you start by sauteeing apples in butter and then creating a sauce. Lookie What I Made!
Over the past couple of weeks I've been figuring out some music editing software (Logic, for those of you interested). This has vastly improved the sound quality of my recordings and I recently completed my first song. It's a cover of "Daisy" by Stone Temple Pilots.
