Augh...

God, I hate editing. I HATE it. Not like assimilating corrections, that's nice enough, amusing even, facepalming aside. But I hate rewriting stuff. I'm so bad at rewriting separate scenes. Like to take this one scene and change things and then put it back in and smooth transitions and then do it all over again until the whole thing feels like a ( Read more... )

idek, help me i'm creative, talk to me, i'm in deep, big bang is karmic retribution, fml

{{{Hugs}}} Just know that it will be worth it? Hopefully? ;) I both love am's hate editing. Love when I can see improvement in the story, but I get you on the patchworkness of it. I also have a hard time forgetting precious versions, so I have to reread a lot to reorient myself.

I know nothing about Merlin, but a prompt anyway: magic and horses and banter? Swords too? (I know, so not helpful)

Dude, I wish. I wish it'd be worth it. Truth is my perception gets blurry after this kind of thing, so I'm not certain of anything. We can all pray it wouldn't be completely awful at least. >.<

I think this could be altered into 'magic horses bantering, with swords'... :D

I've done that before... drives me mad when the muses demand just a touch more in a place...and then you have to make it work with the rest of the story!

*hugs* I hope they start behaving for you.

I don't know Merlin (Except through the OLD King Author stories) so there is no way I could drop you a bunny. I can give you a word to try to write around though charientism: noun A figure of speech wherein a taunting expression is softened by a jest; an insult veiled in grace.

I suppose your story would depend on the fandom... however I think Cinderella would be a touch more outgoing and would probably (if she were able) go after her man instead of waiting to be found... unless she was hiding from Prince Charming because she was in love with the baker down the street and PC was an ass. XD

Oh god, are you me? I hate rewriting stuff. It's much harder than writing, and the longer I work on a story, the less I like it. :/

Sigh. I'm rewriting like mad, too.

Good luck, bb.

I feel selfishly pleased I'm not alone in this torture.

the longer I work on a story, the less I like it

Word. Couldn't have said it better myself.

Good luck to you, too!

lol, here you go, instant plot bunny inspiration... just have to replace 'She's' with 'He's'.

Try refreshing, each scenario just gets more and more hilarious. ;-)

Sorry to hear about your editing frustration, bb *hugs*.

LOL! I've difficulty keeping up with all the 'one-eyed' 'one-legged' 'virginal' them. :D Thanks, bb, it is hilarious. :D

Yeah. *sighs*
Nice to hear from you, tho. ;)

He's a lonely Catholic cowboy on the run. She's a supernatural nymphomaniac safe cracker with a knack for trouble. They fight crime!... heh, best one yet. ;-)

Nice to hear from you, tho. ;)

I know, I know, I've been awol this past week. But hey, I have really good excuses. Really. XD

Also, even though I know you're hating the editing and am entirely sympathetic to your plight *hugs you again*, I must say that I am extremely excited to read your STBB again as a finished product. Extremely.

'Course I'd be excited by the prospect of any new story by you, so the latter paragraph is probably not new news. ;-)

Excuses are always good, otherwise they're no fun. :P

And once again, yes, I know, but no surprise here for you! Not for you, that is. you've read it before. It's not any better. >.<

lol, true that.

And now I must don my lecture mode. Be prepared, I can monologue like the best of them... ;-)

Firstly, you are a superb writer: I know this, your flist knows this, hell, the entire K/S community (and I expect any of the other fandoms you write for) knows this. It's not a thinly kept secret at all, one just has to simply click on any of your stories to know it. ;-)

Secondly, it was a great story. And I'm even more excited to read it a second time because when I read it the first time you hadn't finished it yet, so I never did get to read the end. So yes, I'm excited to reread this fabulous story by a fabulous writer AND with an ending this time, so hey, even better. So there. :P

Love you! XD
