God, I hate editing. I HATE it. Not like assimilating corrections, that's nice enough, amusing even, facepalming aside. But I hate rewriting stuff. I'm so bad at rewriting separate scenes. Like to take this one scene and change things and then put it back in and smooth transitions and then do it all over again until the whole thing feels like a jumbled patchwork rug and I can't remember my own name anymore let alone why the f* I cared in the first place. Grrr. This is why when something isn't working I prefer to throw it to the bin all together and start over with a blank sheet of paper. Except, I can't do it with a 50k (ish) story now, can I?
