Actually, I've yet to see a fic in which bottoming is used to manipulate character Y or just preferred because character X thinks it's tons of fun.

You're right. Where are they?

They're either hiding or kept as prisoners so that the seme/uke stereotype may nourish and grow. Which is sad.

(I love your icon :D)

Speaking of which... if you're looking to break the seme/uke dynamic to the extreme, Zexion is just the perfect mix of overbearing, manipulative smugness and physical lethargy to make the most deliciously atypical bottom. Yes, I think about this too much. At least when he's in character, which isn't that often. >_<;

That's so delicious, really. I just can't stop thinking about the ways he could've controlled Riku in CoM, if the rating had been higher :D. (Because Riku so totally likes Kairi.)

You give me plotbunnies!

Chronic depression is a crippling mental disease that, if not treated properly with professional care, might lead to suicide or otherwise harmful behaviour.

Even people who have it go this way often don't seem to do it right anyway, but that's just me.

Well, I'm no professional, but I think it depends on so many things. I'm no professional but I've noticed that different people react differently to depression, but it's never a positive change. So basically the second symptom (in my opinion) is always true.

Eh? Really? I didn't realize I wasn't supposed to be writing it like that.

(Though this is what I get for not posting to communities, right?)

It's prohibited. Because nobody likes bottoming, EVER unless the character is the perfect uke who'll jump off a cliff if their seme-sama says so.

(I'm really shy with posting to communities >__>. You're not alone)

Drat! I should have gotten that memo sooner! I always thought that whomever bottomed did it because they liked it else they'd, just, y'know, have some other sort of sex! I FAIL AT FANDOM! Or something.

(I'm actually just forgetful!)

Now that you can admit you have a problem, you can go look for a cure, and it'll all be alright. IT'LL ALL BE ALRIGHT!

There's quite a few fics where the bottom isn't your classic uke archetype. It's quite widespread now that seme/uke = bad. Not the majority, I suppose, but still pretty common.

Well, the situation has improved (and I think I phrased my thoughts incorrectly), so you're right and they do exist :D. It's still just so difficult to find those gems!

I could point you to my writing journal? I think I've only written overly submissive bottoms a couple of times, and that was intentional as a d/s dynamic.

You could and I would follow. Thanks!
