So awhile ago, I drew a comic with Terra, Aqua and Ven poking friendly fun at KH fanarts. In it, it's insinuated that no one will like Terra/Aqua 'cause it mirrors how no one seems to like Riku/Kairi*.

And then I get this exchange today:

Person: Nobody's going to like Terra/Aqua. I detest it already. :|
Me: May I ask why? XD
Person: I dunno.

That, I'm sorry to say, has to be the stupidest reasons to not like a pairing.

And how does anyone know that Aqua will be exactly like Kairi? Or Terra like Riku? How can anyone ship ANYTHING if the game isn't even OUT yet?!

Sadly, I've actually heard of people RPing as them (as well as Final Fantasy XIII characters). I mean, speculation is fun but at least find out their backgrounds and personalities first! -_-

The RP thing just baffles me. I mean, I can understand doing speculative fic and art (it's one of my favorite aspects of fandom!) But doesn't doing an RP kind of require that you know the character's personality, or at least the basics of it, so that they can interact with others? D:

The RP thing really bothers me, because it happens way more than it should. If you want to RP them, just be patient and wait for the game to come out first! orz

I'm a Riku/Kairi fan although I'm not actually going to ship Terra/Aqua yet. I'll decide whether or not I like it when I play the game.
