So awhile ago, I drew a comic with Terra, Aqua and Ven poking friendly fun at KH fanarts. In it, it's insinuated that no one will like Terra/Aqua 'cause it mirrors how no one seems to like Riku/Kairi*.

And then I get this exchange today:

Person: Nobody's going to like Terra/Aqua. I detest it already. :|
Me: May I ask why? XD
Person: I dunno.

I could go off on a long rant about Riku/Kairi right here, but I'm not going to. XD; Instead, I'm just going to keysmash and smash my head into the wall a few times.

...I've actually started shipping them, too, although I'm terribly embarrassed to admit it since again, the point still stands that we know nothing about their personalities. XD; I'm just waiting for new info and then the game to come out, and it'll shatter all my current perceptions and change my premature ships, just for irony's sake. XD Buuut for now, I just quietly work on and off on the Terra/Aqua fics/art that I'll never post. >_>

I personally wait until the game comes out so I can see how they interact with each other before making any ship decisions, but considering that Terra and Aqua are both older than Ven, they have that in their favor already.

Oh hell, who am I kidding? We need the Terra/Aqua/Ven now.

I was totally expecting a reply along the lines of "Because Aqua sucks!" or "Because Terra/Ven is hawt!" But that reply is just kind of...special.

Things like this have become a real thorn in my spine. Why the premature hate? Is it because the bulk of the KH fandom is anti-anything-with-a-vagina or is it just me?
