That would be direct tutelage, which also falls under treason :)

Unless you're an infiltrator, both.

The Sabbat for being Cam.
The Cam for associating with the Sabbat.

I got mine through Brujah Coordinator plot that went horribly, horribly wrong. :)

Z! was supposed to die by the Justicar's hand so Z! got the full gambit of an attempt to convert. Then, when the Clan kept him from dying, I realized I had enough info for 4. :)

Zio! was only kidnapped for 24 hours, how the hell did he learn that much in such a short period of time?

Well, a lot of that is the fault of the Tzimisce Coord at the time with his crazy Loki plot...

See, with nothing to lose, we can have real in-depth conversion talks and all sorts of fun rituals to cast.

And then the Brujah refused to kill him.

Don't worry, though, someday Z!'s worship of Caine will be picked up by the wrong people and you'll have another chance. :)

It really depends on the situation. Ideally, high level Lores should be difficult to come by, and really require a large time investment. Then again, I feel the same way about every other Ability. The problem is that every other Ability is devalued, so suddenly people have these incredibly useful Abilities which causes people to kludge on rules for them.

Keeping my mongoloid rage regarding experience points, the meaning of experience points and the cost chart in check for the moment.

What I did for one player was have them give me all the information they had acquired in game to that point. Basically had them pitch the amount of lore they felt they had learned through study and character interaction. I then gave that pitch to the clan coordinator and let them decide.

I would never try to buy a lore outside of my core focus groups of clan & sect, and even then, It shouldnt be at five.

I wrote that all wrong. What I should have said is "I would never try to buy a lore more then 2-3 outside my core focus."

I'm the same way. I've only got Sabbat and Anarch lore x2 on Ces and never plan on going higher.

That said, can you think of any valid ways to get higher without someone that is a part of that group actively teaching you?
