Dental Disappointment

I had today off for the holiday, but the dentist who has worked on Lisa in the past was working today, and so we went to Reno for what would have been Lisa's first dental appointment since 2019. It was a big disappointment.

My dental office is so careful. They sanitize the rooms in-between patient visits. The dental hygienist looks like someone from a Level Four virology lab. The dentist is masked up also. There is a vacuum thing that resembles an elephant trunk that they have next to your mouth. (It is not disturbing or loud, just negative air pressure to draw whatever away from the patient's mouth) Pretty much they have always used similar protocols except for purchasing the vacuum equipment. I have had no one else enter the room while I was there except for the hygienist and the dentist. The door is always closed, for privacy if nothing else. I know that Santa Rosa is a wee bit of a drive but careful dentists do exist.

It's good to know that not everyone has decided that COVID, flu, etc. are No Big Deal and people should just get sick and die.
