Hugo Awards Finalists Day

The 2022 Hugo Awards Finalists were announced today. That made it a busy day for me. I was responsible for getting the announcement and the 2022 Hugo Awards page on the Hugo Awards website updated, and also for making appropriate Tweets on @TheHugoAwards. Also, I amplified the announcements from Chicon 8 on the Hugo Awards' Facebook page. Then

Gosh, I wonder what would happen if you *didn't* do these updates for those people who think you're so terrible and should never be trusted? :-D

Sad that some think you're so ethically challenged, some of us know otherwise.

Thank you! I may have had some lapses in judgement at times, but it still rankles that people think so badly of me.

For those whom like you, are fine upstanding persons, it bothers you that people might believe the worst about you. We ALL make mistakes once in a while.

For those whom the rules, ethics and proper procedure are just a thing to pretend to follow, people like you rankle them into trying to push you out because you stick to your rules and procedures. Think about the Cheeto-head idiot, he would gladly rip up Robert's Rules to benefit himself and think nothing of it. (Your head, like mine, is spinning I'm sure at the thought!).

Keep doing what you do. Those who know you and have seen you in action, will expect you to continue your proper procedures, and new people will see your actions meet your words. Those who believe the ne'er-do-wellians right now, will eventually see through the baloney, or follow blindly after the Cheeto-like idiots and well, phhhhlllbbbppppt on them! ;-)
