I am expanding my repertoire of bad behaviour

last night, I had a Mars bar and half a Skor bar, all with no sugar crash (I ate cheese before and after, mind you, but that's part of the process). I started with the Skor, which I still love the taste of, but the smell of it really turned my stomach, so I gave up and moved on to the Mars bar. Mmmmmmmm.... Nougat.... It's funny how much smell ( Read more... )

Oh oh OH!! I have to take you to this really yummy ice cream place! It's homemade ice cream, and they have a flavour called banana cream... Imagine a homemade banana milk shake, only solid, in a waffle cone... (Or, served on a waffle cone, or in a cup, with a spoon... damn wheat!) We can hit a steak house on the way there... all will be well :)

In my own experience, which admittedly is rather more drastic but is still based upon medical evidence supporting that what my body exhibits is a more extreme form of what is often invisible in other people, testing too often like this will cause more trouble than doing so every once in a while. One thing that has been made very clear over the course of my experience is that just because there is no immediate or no overt effect does NOT mean there is not a negative effect happening behind the scenes...and if that is pushed too often, what is now a minor reaction you can usually cushion may become a major reaction that will make everything much more difficult ( ... )

I haven't binged yet on anything particularly sweet. What I have problems with (and I wouldn't yet call them Problems, but it's definitely something I have to watch out for) are corn chips and corn. And, um, bananas. I manage to steer clear of potatoes and nearly anything grain-related -- I've had one small loaf of spelt-hempseed bread in the past 3 months and little bits of bready things on rare occasions, like the injera I had at the Ethiopean restaurant Friday night, but on the whole, I think I'm doing ok. Not perfect, by any stretch of the ( ... )
