last night, I had a Mars bar and half a Skor bar, all with no sugar crash (I ate cheese before and after, mind you, but that's part of the process). I started with the Skor, which I still love the taste of, but the smell of it really turned my stomach, so I gave up and moved on to the Mars bar. Mmmmmmmm.... Nougat.... It's funny how much smell

Tonight was yet another indulgence (a single scoop of homemade ice cream with pyralea) with seemingly no ill-effect, but it was well planned for and will be the last for at least a couple of weeks so that I can stabilise my blood glucose and whatever else gets affected by my eating sweets.
I haven't binged yet on anything particularly sweet. What I have problems with (and I wouldn't yet call them Problems, but it's definitely something I have to watch out for) are corn chips and corn. And, um, bananas. I manage to steer clear of potatoes and nearly anything grain-related -- I've had one small loaf of spelt-hempseed bread in the past 3 months and little bits of bready things on rare occasions, like the injera I had at the Ethiopean restaurant Friday night, but on the whole, I think I'm doing ok.
