battery charging
This morning I got this week’s Slice of Life Project assignment (the first) in my email… and realized I need to charge my camera battery. Woe! [Not that much woe, really - it's a weeklong assignment. Due mainly to myself. Pretty sure I can charge a camera in that time.]

Today was “moderate intensity” Tacfit day on the calendar. It was a bit more than moderately intense - sore from whatever (dance yesterday? NYE?), I only managed about 3/4 of the Official Moderate Intensity plan with great effort and enough discomfort that I had to modify things. The technique wasn’t bad, though. It feels artificial to start something just because it’s a new year. But! This date has lots of 1′s in it! Everyone knows you start with 1! Conveniently, I’ve only now gotten clear on a couple of intentions. They’re not resolutions. They’re not really goals at all, but they’re intents worth writing down.

Last year as I started looking for a new job - and continued to do my old one - I sometimes completely lost sight of my life. If you take a conventional approach to job-seeking, it seems really easy to turn yourself into a 24/7 worry and angst machine. Seeking is a(nother) full-time job.

St Louis has its own barbecue style. It’s apparently somewhere between Memphis and Kansas City, which is appropriate, as St Louis is geographically between… you guessed it - Memphis and Kansas City.
