I've just finished reading The Battle of the Sexes in Science Fiction by Justine Larbalestier and I enjoyed it. I liked how she tracked the participation of women in SF fandom from its early days and added a lot of context to the stories she discussed (mostly battle-of-the-sexes stories and Tiptree's stories, but she also discusses feminist utopias ( Read more... )

It's halfway through the year and I've achieved my goal of reading 12 books (+1) off my TBR pile. The next challenge would be 24 books, but I don't have enough books left in my TBR to do that. So, my goal now is to reduce the number of books left in my TBR pile to three or less.
