Vacations and the numbers
As will come as no surprise, taking a vacation doesn't help the numbers I've been reporting here. :-(
Weight 270
BP 140/97
Sugar 153
Hopefully, much of that will go back where it was within a week or so. We don't have big plans for holiday eating, which should help.

As previously threatened here's today's numbers:
Morning weight 261
Fasting Sugar 140 112 just before lunch.
BP 148/98
Pulse 68
Weight is moving in the right direction. Sugar doesn't seem to be effected by the Metformin, morning or evening. BP is certainly higher than I'd like.
Now, I need to keep the weight going in the right direction -

Stats
As promised here's today's stats. We finally got fresh test strips for blood sugar late last week, thus no data for awhile. All numbers morning, and fasting.
Weight - 264#
Sugar - 146
BP - 140/98
Pulse - 70
Certainly, none of those are all that great. Thankfully none are horrid either. -

Weight Control and My Health
Many of you remember me from the early '00s. In about December of '05 I weighted 297. I looked at that and got scared. Then took action. My goal was 200#. By Feb of 06 I was at 285. Good progress. By July of '08 I'd gotten down to 210#. Something like 87# in about thirty months. Just over 2# per week. Really close to the recommended ( Read more... ) -
Politics Today
I've pretty much been a conservative all my life. My conservatism has always been of the type that says you and I both have the right to free speech, religious choice, etc. It has not been the type that says I must, or even may interfere in your life, nor should you involve yourself in mine, by law.
