I have been experimenting with a BT keyboard with my phone as I am very keyboard oriented as well, but it is cumbersome to use the whole arrangement. I would rather walk over to my (small) laptop than try to balance everything for the convenience of having it all with me(with a phone or tablet). My 9" laptop has a very useable keyboard and reasonable resolution and is easy to carry on trips, etc.

You may be right, but I don't think so as far as the email lists.

I think that when email lists really worked there wasn't as much online. Nowadays there's a gazillion things and keeping up with all of them takes a lot of efforts.

I think the nature of communication has changed with text messages. The culture of sitting and taking time to process and write something big is in itself a limiting factor. True, text entry methods do make it harder to do long, but I think it's more the nature of social media and limits on tweets and facebook posts - and then the sheer volume of media and news to process.

But what do I know. I'm just an old crudgemudgin who doesn't want to join the modern era NOR take the time to respond to email lists.
