A pleasant weekend so far...

Yesterday it was mostly cloudy 15C/59F and the wind was cold again. We went to the garden centre first thing as we needed bird food and we treated ourselves to a new clematis and a pre-planted hanging basket with pansies in.  Once we got back we pottered around the garden and I transplanted some of the daffodils I'd had in pots that have finished

Pretty flowers. I’m looking for a clematis to go I need a container against our new back fence but I can’t decide on a colour. Dr Ruppel is very pretty.

I chose one that isn’t so fussy about cutting back in stages as I’m not patient enough for that. This one just needs a light prune in Spring and that’s about it. The winter flowering ones are the same and a good choice.

I have clematis envy now; my one like that flowered beautifully in 2020 - then disappeared totally and was not seen at all in 2021 - not even a leaf :(

I do like the idea of your tiny tub pond.

Well I hope this one survives! We do need some rain soon - it’s so dry here!!

The tub pond is so easy to make and with a solar pump I have a little fountain in it too.
