It's a little disturbing when your monther-of-one colleague starts whistling to the chorus of Whistle by Flo Rida. Can't she tell what the song is about? Should I tell her?

Serendipitously chanced upon an on-line profile by my JC crush.

Suddenly had an urge to write to him, almost like a confession about, well, my crush. I had always almost known him, or approached him, or talked to him, but never did. A sort-of colleague of mine shares a rented apartment to the tune of $1000 a month. Where I come from, $1000 is a pretty princely sum.

K: So why do you rent the apartment?
E: Because it enables me to love my parents more.

He said it so well. I think some distance is healthy for parent-child relationships.
