Deceptively Delicious Preparations

As I mentioned before, Josh's aunt bought me the Deceptively Delicious book and a food processor too. A couple days after Christmas we went to the store and I bought broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, spinach, and sweet potatoes (plus I had a butternut squash at home) in hope of turning them to puree and sneaking them in foods.

It was only 1 cauliflower, 6 carrots, 1 butternut squash, 1 bag of baby spinach, 2 sweet potatoes, and 4 stalks of broccoli. I was surprised by how much it made.

I've slipped pureed vegetables into meatloaf and no one was the wiser.

Wow! The colors are so pretty on that top row ;)
Josh is going to open up the freezer & start crying I think.
If nothing else, the drawer helps to hide the evidence!

I thought the colors were really nice too, except the spinach. I like spinach, but that puree just looked unappetizing.

I was watching some videos from when she was on Oprah promoting her book and they took some of the foods to 1st and 2nd graders and they loved them. I'm hoping Josh will be that fooled too!
