A big leap

I just quit my job.

My last day is August 28, and my last day in the country is September 3.

I'm going to El Salvador to volunteer as an English teacher and study Spanish and the culture/politics of the country, at a social justice organization.  The website is here.

It's a ten week program, and unpaid, so the cost of living and Spanish classes

Katydid! That's awesome! Congrats baby! I'm so proud of you for taking this leap of faith. And seriously, a lot can happen in 10 weeks. A LOT. And you won't come back to the U.S. with your head hung in shame! It will be an experience no matter what, maybe just not the one you wanted to have. . .

Just remember you are taken care of in each and every moment.
