I told a friend this arc can be succinctly summed up as 'bromance in space.' Isn't it? A blogger wrote that besides the ridiculousness there's a certain poignancy in the fact that these three are once again given a chance to protect Earth - and this time it may have a happy ending. Gin-san may grumble about Zura's idiocy and Sakamoto's Sakamoto-ness, but the way he communicates with these two show how relaxed and at home he is around them, although they've been divided by time and personal choices. They have a bond that is as special and irreplaceable as Gintoki and his Yorozuya, and SakaMutsu ( ... )

That is a really fitting description! This arc really emphasises the friendship ties between the characters, and not just Elizabeth and Katsura, but also the ex-Joi and the Yorozuya... Basically, time and distance might be between them, but that cannot get in the way of true friendship ( ... )

I really like that conversation between Elizabeth and Katsura. Don't know how to say it, but I found it to be very touchy. And that last scene with the cloud and Elizabeth attacking Dark Vader is also very touchy. >_I just realized that Katsura is very good around technologies though. Sorry, since I don't think too much about stuff (in fact, when I saw him got on Gunsam, the only thought I have in my mind was that I wouldn't be a bit surprised if his Gunsam went and stepped on Alzabeth, aka I really doubt he can even pilot that thing...but when I rethink about it, he did manage to pilot MS-ZURA really smoothly long back at that Jump Festa, so...>_>"), it took me a little long to think of it in that perspective. It's just funny also how he used up all his time on modern technologies, like games, webboard, mobile phone, TV though...and have all these technologies around him (He did have Apple Computer, didn't he? Some while back with that webboard thing and his Fruit Punch Samurai username...while he can be very outdated on the other ( ... )

I absolutely agree, those two were really emotional and intense scenes. The one with the cloud nearly made me cry, it was a really beautiful moment ( ... )
