Weekly Random Babbling

Feb 02, 2009 19:38

Huh. I just now noticed that my last couple of updates have been on Mondays from the campus library. It really does look like I'll be making a weekly babble-about-whatever post....

  1. I'm suffering a very mild block for "The Family You Choose." This block has taken on the form of giving me hell trying to write an action sequence, then going to hide ( Read more... )

1. Blocks are the suck. I hate it when they happen to me, and they suck when they hit other authors too. Boo to blocks! Down with blocks! Would changing series briefly help?

3. You'll do fine. You're pretty much kicking arse in Latin as is.

4. 9 days till your birthday, 18 days till Kitty's, and 20 days till mine.

5. Yeah, I'm a little less than enthused about Dragon*Con, mostly due to getting injured last year. It sort of put a damper on it for me. Plus the fact I'd have to buy a human hair wig for Scarlett -- which wouldn't be cheap. Plus everything else, including class.

Speaking of which...

1. The block is... still in place. The other fic I'm working on is coming along nicely. (And the blocks might not be so terrible if I could build something with 'em, like a nice little Lego castle or something...)

3. I can only hope so, at this point. We got the basic format today and yikes. Translating, parsing sentences, parsing nouns and verbs... *head asplodes*

4. Hooray for the February crew!

5. Yeah. The more I think on it, the more my mind turns to well, I can really use the money I'll save not going towards [insert item here]. I'm probably even going to remove my countdown meter since I don't really need it, ne?

I don't blame you about the Dragon Con this year. Focus on school and working on your finances. Not sure how you own $700 in back taxes, but you could always tell the IRS that you are a canidadate for a position on the Obama Staff. (^-^ Zing!) In all seriousness if you need some help on those taxes my father is down at the Wal(ghetto)-mart H&R Block and he is the manager. Just tell him I sent you and he will do what he can.

To easy your woes of financial worry and latin studying try reading this blog, craftzine.com, every now and again for some sewing ideas on the cheap.

:( Did you have to remind me that my 29th is looming around the corner? Ah well. I think I like your dad's idea of "middle age". Makes me feel young.
