Someone rear ended me Thursday.  Because people can't drive.  I won't go into the whole story, but I have to get the whole back panel replaced of my car that I just got for graduation.  And the icing on the cake is that I was planning to leave for Raleigh on Monday and now I might not be able to leave until Thursday or Friday.  So, in general, I am ( Read more... )

So, I've been bugging the worship team at church to sing this song for at least a year an a half now, basically since I first heard it. It's originally a Hank Williams song, but it's been redone a few times, but it's amazing. And I really wanted to sing it. As of about 5 minutes ago I called Virginia Tech and let them know I've decided to accept their graduate school offer. And now I can finally stop stressing about it and focus on finishing classes. I think I ultimately felt more comfortable with VT than UC Davis for a number of reasons. I liked Dr. Splan much better and can see myself working ( Read more... )

Just an update on deciding the future of my life. I reread the VT assistantship and realized that they would actually pay all my tuition and I get a stipend of about $1600 a month, so that's no longer an issue.
