An intriguing theory. I myself watch several X-men femmeslash groups, particularly those involving Emma, and have not noticed such an influx, more's the pity. However, I must agree with you that if anything could bring in more Emma fans, it would be the movie. It was a very good movie, and while Emma only had a minor role, she was perfectly awesome in everything she did, even if she was Shaw's subordinate rather than equal. I think her best scene was in the interrogation room, when she just cut out a piece of the glass and calmly informed the CIA chief they had no chance against them ( ... )

I only discovered you today. And even though this is an old post I felt like leaving a comment anyway.

Please don't ever take Diamond in the Rough from the web, even if some of the fans you are getting are because of the movie, those same fans while reading some of the few amazing Emma Frost fanfictions that are on the web, they will get to know her and read more about her and become real fans. I had no idea who Emma Frost was until I started to read nike_ravus, today I still haven't read any comic, all I know about her I found on the web and the character I build in my head is inspired by all the Emma Frost femslash I read.

I too was disappointed when I saw the movie, Emma Frost had such a minor role, there wasn't a lot of femslash material. But a little bad exposure is better than no exposure at all.

Hope someday you will write more Emma Frost fanfiction even if you don't continue Diamond in the Rough.
