An intriguing theory. I myself watch several X-men femmeslash groups, particularly those involving Emma, and have not noticed such an influx, more's the pity. However, I must agree with you that if anything could bring in more Emma fans, it would be the movie. It was a very good movie, and while Emma only had a minor role, she was perfectly awesome in everything she did, even if she was Shaw's subordinate rather than equal. I think her best scene was in the interrogation room, when she just cut out a piece of the glass and calmly informed the CIA chief they had no chance against them. I have found that the movie had revived my interest somewhat (though it is never really dormant). Enough so that I finally started working seriously on my main project, which is to collect a huge number of Emma fanfics in one. I've already gathered a great deal, and once I finish gathering what I've found on Livejournal, I'll start editing. Until then, much as you do, I try to backup everywhere. I also sympathize regarding the loss of the chapters. The same has happened to me, and I could never return to my story (then again, it was also growing rather confused and I was unsure where I was going with the plot, so it may have been that). However, I do believe such issues can be overcome eventually, and hope we will all succeed in doing so. Oh, and in case you're wondering, I've only been lurking for a short while, and have found your story recently on Fanfiction.net. I do plan to complete reading it and review it, possibly this weekend. I hope you do not feel this long-winded comment was presumptuous, but I felt the need to share my thoughts (probably a result of being awake at 3 in the morning, but whatever). In any case, I hope this helps.
