Spring? (Day 362 since Lockdown 1, Day 75 of Lockdown 3)

It is a very dull, grey day here today but yesterday was gloriously sunny. We managed to vary our walking route a bit and find a new (very muddy) path, which is part of the Vanguard Way. I've seen the signs for the Vanguard Way quite often but never realised quite what it was as I thought it was something to do with the old airport. Duh! We thought

Oh yes - I love those rocking horses that are enormous and look rather lovely even now.....

Dreary is the word for it. These dull days are harder to cope with in lockdown but yesterday was gorgeous.

I think I would still like one of those rocking horses!

The Vanguard Way looks interesting.

Your crocuses look really good - the bulb lasagna does seem to be working well.

And oh how I wanted a rocking horse as a child, too.

It was made very clear that I wasn't going to get a rocking horse but it didn't stop me wanting one and actually, I would still like one.

We were running out of compost when we planted that pot so the crocuses are a bit low down but it worked out well as it meant they were protected from the wind.

He is a dear old chap and is an absolute lesson on how to stay positive despite everything. We aren't really taking care of him but we top up his food order when he forgets to ask his daughter, who is in Milton Keynes, to order stuff for him and we pick up his prescription. It's not very onerous but it is nice to help a little.

Yay to Rex keeping his mind active. The crocuses are lovely.

The crocuses are right in front of our window and they have made me smile every morning this week.

I think Rex's mind is more active than mine. He takes lovely photographs too and writes poetry himself.
