so sam's crib came yesterday and the mattress has yet to arrive.  i have nowhere to put it together/set it up until i move her playard/bassinet thing, and i can't move that until she has something else to sleep on...ie the mattress.  i could put the bassinet downstairs, but i just got her on the 7pm bedtime and i don't want to disrupt that by ( Read more... )

my girl had the gas today.  screaming and farts all day.  no break.  she's past out now...

i ordered her crib and mattress today.  100% organic mattress.  i'm excited.  it was a little expensive, but well worth it. 

so lisa and i drove to julian today for some awesome pie.  it's in the mountains, and lets just say that planning is not a skill of mine.  we got there and it was 20 degrees colder than it was downtown.  also, we left late, and didn't think about having to drive back through the mountains in the dark...  so we go to leave around dusk and it starts ( Read more... )

it's just hitting me that i'm terribly hurt by not getting to spend thanksgiving with michael.  i went out of my way to make both families happy and was treated horribly.  in doing that, i spent any money that we would have had to spend on plane tickets for him to fly home.  so now they all got what they wanted, and they all get their thanksgivings ( Read more... )

dollar cost averaging.  i know i should be all pooped about the economy, but all i keep thinking is...."i hope the stock market is down today!"  i've increased my 401k/ira/529 contributions and really almost feel bad for rejoicing in others money loss.  but hey, 30 years to retirement and i'm doing the money jig!
