I think I can confidently point to one reason why I didn't enjoy this concert as much as I wanted to: High Expectations.

I recently (a few weeks ago) entered a micro-fiction writing contest on a sci-fi website called Hilobrow. I didn't win (the winner was truly spectacular) but I wanted to post my entry here. It's like losing weight, right? The more people you tell about your goals, the more likely you are to accomplish them?

Low key birthday this year, as last year's required too much planning, as did last week's Superbowl party which was exhausting (29 people in our apartment, and they all fit!).
