Wow a lot has been going on.... to sum up:
1) Started a new job a few weeks ago, will only last for a few more weeks.
2) Moved out of my apartment...
3) And moved in with The Boyfriend!
This past weekend was the first time in weeks I felt like I was able to relax and unwind a bit, what with all the packing, unpacking, cleaning, and assembling that's been going on recently. I was having some issues with the new apartment last week, which Matt rolled with because he's a champ. It wasn't until Saturday, when I did my last deep clean of my old apartment and turned in the keys (and maybe had a few tears in my eye) that I began to accept the new place. Now it feels like I'm driving home at night, not driving to some random place I'm staying right now. The new place has it's issues, as does every new home when you first start getting used to it's eccentricities. This faucet leaks, this door is in the way, this counter slopes downhill for some bizarre reason.... but I think we're getting used to them. I no longer get as angry trying to cook in the kitchen, because it's easier now that most of the kitchen is unpacked (and the counters aren't covered with boxes, because that makes cooking just a bit difficult). We're working on getting the furniture we need, and once we have that all set up we can start unpacking a lot of boxes. Not having a desk or a media center (we're putting together the bookshelf tonight!) has been a trial. We'll both be happy when we're unpacked and settled, for sure.
So that's where we stand. Sorry for the lack of updates! I'd love to post some thoughts on this season's new tv shows, only I haven't had cable in almost two weeks (we got it installed this morning though!)... I'm almost a week behind on Supernatural, which is just wrong. It's not so much being able to watch the shows, as hulu and various network websites help immensely, it's finding the time to watch them in the midst of everything else. It's been kinda fun not having cable though, at least in some ways. I bought some plants over the weekend with the sincere desire to not kill them for once, so I'm spending some time out on our massive balcony tending to them and watering them and whatever the hell it is you do to plants to keep them from dying. Sigh. I'm going to kill these too, aren't I?
