One of the great joys of my Christmas was that, despite all my financial woes and the prospect that I'd never manage to get my own set of the Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood DVDs, I managed to get all ten disks! I've been taking evenings and watching a complete disk whenever I have the time and am also awake.

Hurray for anticipation! )

Hahahaha! You enabler, you.

I've got one new thing about 1/3 done, and this morning, I got another idea for a shortish piece. I just need the TIME. Ha!

What have you been up to lately? Not just writing-wise, but everything?

Holy crow EVERYTHING. I'm back in Syracuse, NY, living with the parentals. Frakking economy.... rarrr, and changing what I want to be when I "grow up" again.

Which leads me to:
-Me Ice Skating for Fitness starting 2 years ago. Addiction of the best kind! I'm going after I finish my coffee!
-Anat-Astarte wondering if I'd ever thought about becoming an Occupational Therapist, since I am great and "trouble shooting" and "life hacking" re the human body. I was working on mine by creating exercises to learn/nail ice skills.
-Me Volunteering to do ANYTHING for Move Along, Inc. and becoming the main Kids' Sled Hockey Coach.
-And ME taking the GRE on 2/7, deadline for application to Ithaca College is 3/1 and I'm going to make it!

AND I can skate REALLY well, I've been told... and I'm wearing spandex pants. (HUGE BFD with my body confidence.)

Well done, well done! Oh good for you, bravo!

Have fun with the GRE! Yes, weird thing to say. But I've taken it twice (Yes, I'm that old), and when I got one of those honkin' big study books that showed strategies for it, I got so I could do the tests in 28 minutes and do really well. I had a blast.

And have fun getting into a new career! Honestly, I think we get to "grow up" several times these days, and we're never stuck in a single career. I think I myself am on Plan J by now, actually. Ha!
