February 3rd: I held off FMA till the third day!
I was deciding what to write for today's entry, when I saw another LJ person commenting about how she thought the FMA community were all great people, even when they preferred different versions of the story, or didn't agree about some things. So that got me thinking about one of my theories: that Fullmetal Alchemist has become something of a "myth ( Read more... ) -
In other news...
One of the great joys of my Christmas was that, despite all my financial woes and the prospect that I'd never manage to get my own set of the Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood DVDs, I managed to get all ten disks! I've been taking evenings and watching a complete disk whenever I have the time and am also awake.

Lalalala! Still progressing. Actually, I'm trying to get a bit ahead, because I'll be meeting some friends on Saturday afternoon (and not writing, as I originally intended), and I often end up so tired I have to nap on Sunday. Or I just like to watch football games. So I'm trying to get ahead a bit. Which I am, by 668 words so far. Woo!

Wheeeee! I could get really obnoxious about this. But here's my word count after two days:
3741 / 50000 words. 7% done!

I absolutely loved it myself. Wheeee!
Of course, it took two bloody HOURS to watch it, since I have an old computer, an it had to "buffer" for 5-20 seconds before every 5-7 second spurt I could watch. ( Read more... ) -

Chapter 2 of Heckuva Way to Start a New Year is up at kashiwrites. Yaaaay!
I actually didn't think I'd get the chapter done today. But that was before I split it into two chapters, suddenly recognizing how I could make the story flow better. So we've got Chapter 2, and I hope Chapter 3 can be done by the weekend.
