For the first time in my life, I am actually less than enthusiastic about school. Like... as a whole. I mean, I still love most of my classes, but the past few weeks and just... if I could take a break, a serious, honest-to-God BREAK from school, for say, four months, preferably sunny months, I'd take it in a heart-beat. I need to get in

Oh, yuck. I've been meaning to do a rant all semester about one of my teachers, and part of what you said, I totally feel. *hugs* We may not always jive with how a teacher teaches, but for them to give off the feeling that they don't care or are pushing students away, and to not show up for class with no warnings? Argh.

Everyone needs a break from school. I think it's a real, true honest to goodness pity that college students aren't usually allowed to defer/take a break without getting penalized or completely drop their enrollment from the university. Maybe others are different, but the ones here are like that. And people are pressured to go into college RIGHT after HS, which means you've been going to school since you were 4. So people get burned out and grades drop. Bleh.
