Cairo? You're going to Egypt? Hooley Dooley girl, you get around! Can't wait to see the pictures! I'll keep reading and see if there's more about this in another entry.

I might be getting to Egypt. Mom wants to see the pyramids and I've got a cousin living there this year, so we'd have somewhere to stay. However, we've also just gotten back in touch with cousins in Finland, who live in the area mom's father comes from, so we are considering going there, too. She's only got two weekends available, so now we need to decide if we want to spend ~ 8 hours on a plane both weekends or do only one of the trips...

(both trips would also cost a fair bit more than I'm used to paying for flights within Europe, which has me hesitating a bit...)

I like doing lists as well. Where is your mom located? Is it a long flight? I just got back to Alaska and it easily take me an entire day to get here and a day to recover.

Mom is based in Seattle these days, but she will be here for about 3 weeks. fortunately for me, she will be visiting friends in the UK on the way here, so when I meet her at the airport she will have had only a short flight.
