"Oh dear, Gojyo will get plenty of practice dodging bullets then, don't you think?" Hakkai said with a little chuckle.

He bumped a hand against Goku's arm, looked around himself a little more, and then gestured to the woods around them. "This stuff clear out any, or is the whole area like this? I'm going to have to get used to walking, I fear..."

While the idea of Gojyo and Sanzo fighting with them around as buffers was amusing, he also wanted to find out a little more about what was around them, figure out the best way to proceed. Maybe they could find a way to help from this side of things, just maybe.

"Or his paper fan," Goku added, smirking. Sanzo always had that damn fan at the ready whenever one of them pissed him off enough. Goku should be an expert at parrying the blows by now, but the monk had a surprisingly quick arm, and one never knew where or how that fan would appear before it struck, lightning fast. Sanzo never hit Hakkai though. Somehow, Goku never thought to question why that was.

"And no, it's just pretty woody- woodsy? around here, by the tree. They have roads in the towns you can drive on, and then there's fields and stuff all over in between. See?" Goku tapped around on the Hitomi to show him the map feature. "We're like...here. And I've been staying...here." He pointed to the respective places on the map.

The device was going to take some getting used to, Hakkai decided, and he still rather wanted to know where his had come from. After all, it had just been there, and it seemed determined to follow him, even when tried to set it down. He'd tried that, already.

He dutifully leaned in to look at Goku's little device though, took note of places on the map that looked useful.

"So you don't mind if I come to your place for now? You're sure? And then Jeep and I can do some exploring and figure things out from there..."

The question was a bit surprising, as Goku figured that Hakkai would obviously stay with him. There was plenty of space, after all. And even if there wasn't, they'd stayed in smaller places before, sometimes four to a room. Hakkai was always a great roommate. He couldn't say the same for Gojyo, who tended to gripe a lot and would sometimes play pranks on him - like the time he drew on Goku's feet with a marker when he was fast asleep. But even if it were Gojyo who'd just arrived in Kannagara, it would not have occurred to him to make him live somewhere else.

"Why would I mind?" he asked, laughing. "I mean, we'll have to ask the guy who owns the house if he would mind, but I don't think he would. I give him some of my money from work and he lets me stay. There's extra rooms, so you can have one of those."

"Oh, all right!"

Hakkai grinned, not bothering to answer the question. After all, he'd only been being polite.

He winked at his friend, tilted his head a little. "Well, I'm sure we could work out something with the owner of the house if we need to. I've got plenty of useful skills. And you can always give him the cute little kid looks if necessary." He ruffled Goku's hair, gently teasing. "What kind of work did you say you do, anyway?"
