"A fake, maybe? But what would be the point of impersonating myself and Gojyo if it was before you were here? Or to someone other than you..."

Hakkai frowned, took a few seconds to just think over the situation. He looked around himself, taking in the peaceful surroundings again. At least he wasn't in a desert or anything, now.

"What exactly have you been doing while you were here? Have you been in any danger? Seen any youkai, or anything suspicious?"

Well, that was a heck of an explanation. If the situation weren't so serious, Hakkai would be hard-pressed not to laugh.

As it was, the corners of his mouth twitched a little, but he also took a moment to seriously think about what was being said.

"That's a step up, at least, if no one is after us here. But it's going to be a lot to figure out, isn't it?"

Hakkai sighed softly, then stretched a little, looked down at himself again. "I think the first thing I want to do is get cleaned up."

It was the best comparison Goku could think of, and not too far off, in his opinion. Back then, he'd also woken up in a strange world with no idea how he got there, or why. Hakkai had been with him then too, coincidentally.

"Yeah, I guess so," Goku said. He was smiling again, feeling a little better already. Hakkai was good at figuring things out. If anyone could find a way out of here, it was him. Goku would help him the best he could.

"Hehe. You do like kinda messy. I've gotta place, it's not far. Come on, I'll take you there!"

He rented a room from a nice old man in Hisato, a modest but comfortable place he's been staying when he's not on the road.

Hakkai let out a soft little chuckle, his expression not betraying the sudden urgency in his need to be free of the blood on him.

Blood can be washed away...

"It looks like this time you're teaching me, huh, Goku?" he asked, nudging the dragon wrapped around him to get him to climb up onto his shoulder properly. The movement earned him a slight tail-slap, but Jeep moved into an easier position for walking with, and Hakkai turned to look around.

"Which way then?"
