The best thing about parties was the beer. The second best thing about parties was the food, and it came in a very close second. That was a good thing considering this party didn't happen to have beer. Harry wasn't exactly a wine person, so he simply indulged in the food instead.
Harry had loaded up a plate with just about anything that looked decent for round one and found himself a comfortable spot along the wall to eat. One not far from the food tables so he could happily go back whenever he pleased. As he munched he noticed the sign on the dance floor. His lips twitched into a smile. It sounded like something he would write. Nice.
Juudai had left a message on Johan's Hitomi telling him that there was a party and that it was the Place To Be At, Dog, but since Johan hadn't yet returned his call, Juudai's second priority had come into play: food.
After clearing the table of fried shrimp, Juudai made as if to stroll away with a veritable mountain of the stuff on his plate, and nearly bumped into someone standing close by.
"Oops!" he said, but he managed not to drop a single shrimp. Awwwww, yes. "Sorry about that!" Actually, on a second glance - "I don't think we've met," Juudai said, nodding to the stranger. "Yuki Juudai. You?"
[Here we have Touya standing awkwardly at the edge of the dance floor, at his own party, as if trying to decide if he wants to dance or not. Yep. So socially adept he is.]
[This guy. Touya knows who he is well enough, and remembers him from working on the ryokan, but he's never really thought of them as friends or anything. So. He can't help but blinks a little at first.
He laughs to cover it, rather than being rude as he might during a less joyous occasion.]
Yeah, I was thinking about it, but I don't seem to have a partner.
[Yes, there will be violence. If there is any risk of this piano getting stained or ruined in any way, Elliot will draw his sword, no doubt.
Probably not actually hurting anyone with it aside from maybe smacking with the blunt side of it, but still. And that is why he's skulking somewhere nearby to keep an eye on it (when he's not playing at it). Approach with caution, or... something like that.
[Well, guess who's sitting on your sacred instrument sipping the most bitter grapefruit juice you can find through a straw in the most indifferent manner ever.]
HEY! There's a reason the food and drink table is way over there!
[He swipes out a hand towards said table as he marches towards the piano, his other hand grabbing onto his sword. He will use it if he deems it necessary, mhm.]

[Food, check. Drink, definitely check. Less people? Check. Jason let out something close to a grin, food on a plate, balanced on his lap, a very generous glass (more goblet sized than anything0 of wine he by his elbow. He was no connoisseur of drink, but it could get you drunk, and that's all he really wanted. He had already downed a couple of quick glasses before escaping outside, and was feeling the buzz.
A grin crossed his face as he lit up a cigarette, inhaling deeply, letting the smoke trickle out between his lips. He was tipsy, he was fed, and he had a cig. Right now, life actually looked good. ]
[Fed and with some wine already in him, and more in the cup he was holding, Ginko was tired of the noise and closeness of the building. So he had gone looking for a door, only to find that the party had spilled outside--apparently he wasn't the only one who tired quickly of crowded spaces.
It didn't take him long to find a familiar face, though he wasn't sure if the man wanted company. After a moment, he shrugged to himself--he was feeling talkative, and if Jason didn't want him there, he'd leave.
He made sure to walk up to him so that the other man would be able to see him coming. No need to get off on the wrong foot by accidentally sneaking up on him.]
[Jason had just blown out a deep lungful of smoke, and waved it away to get a good view of the man approaching him. Oh, Ginko. He had been talking to him quite a bit recently, but had only really ever seen him face to face on his first day here.
The smile on his face barely widens and he leans back against the rough wood of the boarding house. From their chats on the hitomi Jason knew that he could carry on a conversation with him without wanting to punch him. Which, honestly, was quite a feat. It certainly put Ginko on a short list of people. ]
Hey yourself. The people get to be too much in there? [A little wave of his fingers encourages Ginko to come over, even sit by him if he wants.]

"As long as you didn't lose your food, and I didn't lose mine we're good."
His smile widened a bit.
"Harry Dresden."
