The ryokan doors are thrown wide open and propped, a large sign out front cheerily declaring '(late) Grand Opening Party!'. A bunch of bright blue streamers out are attached to the doors themselves, and inside them, the front desk is strewn with bunches of flowers, well-chosen but artlessly arranged, as if whoever ordered them had just sort of eyed the desk, tossed the flowers out, and called it good. Which is, of course, exactly what Touya did.
All of the small tables in the entranceway hold a central bouquet as well, in blues and yellows, and the plethora of cushions sprawled about eagerly await company. A few long tables off the left are weighed down with food, everything from sushi to grilled meats, fruit and vegetables, desserts, wines and juices. It's quite a feast, and there should be something for everyone to enjoy.
Off to the right, on the other hand, one will find a singular piano, as far away from the food as possible to keep it within this big open room. Between it and the food area is a wide open space, with wood flooring, with a cheerful sign that says "Shut up and dance", in the bold simple writing of the ever-friendly innkeeper.
The party starts early in the morning and goes all day, so feel free to drop by anytime you like, mingle, and just generally have a good old time! And if you happen to be a resident of the ryokan, feel free to attempt a complaint to your landlord about the noise... but don't expect any sympathy.
