Juudai still wasn't sure where he was going - he'd started off thinking he'd go offer his help building that ryokan thing, but he'd ended up just wandering around the outskirts of town for a bit, noticing some of the architecture and mentally mapping out better routes to take next time he came up here to run errands. Oh, man, "running errands?" Those two words were the first things to start making one feel old.
{ Yubel scoffed at the thought. Juudai, you haven't felt old until you've passed your first millenium because someone took eons to reincarnate. }
"Not my fault," he said aloud, thinking he was alone. "Anyway, it's not like that's - aaah!" Aaah, of course, being the sound one makes when one is struck in the face by a tiny ball of hair and limbs.
Juudai's right hand went straight to the deck holder at his hip, but he couldn't get anything out fast enough.
"CHIPS!" Mikey yelled as he rounded the corner fearing the untimely demise of his precious pet monkey. To his relief, Chips was fine. The only problem was that he was attached to someone's face and didn't seem to want to let go. "Hey buddy are you okay?" Mikey asked the monkey as he approached the two. "C'mom." He got a firm grip of the monkey around the middle and attempted to pull him right off. The only thing that accomplished was that Chips tightened his hold on Juudai's hair and ears.
A faintly familiar voice was saying something, but Juudai couldn't perceive anything other than the fact that something or someone large was now trying to pull his face in the other direction.
He finally got a hold on the first card that came to his hand and shouted for help. A warm surge along his arm (and a momentary flash behind his eyelids) and the spirit of the card he'd summoned popped out to lend its assistance.
"Kuri kuri~!"
"Hane Kuriboh?" Juudai still couldn't see through the tiny mass of nails and hair in his face, but he heard Kuriboh chitter something like brief laughter before gripping the animal's tail and yanking.
Wow, things were getting weirder and weirder. But with the little brown fluffy thing's help, Mikey managed to yank Chips off of Juudai's face. "Aww are you alright Chips?" He crooned to the baby monkey as it chittered pathetically. "You shouldn't have run away from Daddy you know." He nuzzled the little guy before glancing over at Juudai. "Hey sorry dude, it's, like, hard to keep track of him all the time." Mikey grinned and held waved a green three fingered hand at the boy.
