[Touya isn't quite sure how it happened, honestly. It's just that this old man had been setting up all by himself, and he'd seemed overwhelmed, and Touya had just... well...
So maybe he'd walked over and simply picked something up and started helping. It wasn't that he was that compassionate or anything! He just... well... the frail little guy had looked so bowed under the weight of the box, and Touya had broad shoulders and strong muscles and it just wasn't fair.
Well, however it was, the teen has now found himself shoved into an apron, standing over a quite old-fashioned sort of grill, turning sticks of meat and not-quite-smiling at the customers as he serves them.
The old man, on the other hand, is sitting on a box smoking a pipe and flirting with a girl that looks about Touya's age.
Yeah, look where good intentions get him. But he can't exactly go back now! So he's working hard, and keeping his eyes out for familiar faces from the Hitomi while he's at it.]

[ Juudai was just thinking he was getting hungry, so he's walking around, and - well, look who's here! ]
Hey, Touya! [ Juudai waves as he walks over to this stand, a somewhat mischievous grin on his face. ] I didn't know you worked here. [ This is going to be good, alright... ]

[ Juudai is over at the goldfish scooping stall. He is absolutely determined to catch this one big one in there, which has evaded his every attempt and cost him at least two poi. But he will catch you, Mr. Fish. ]
[You see this? This is Johan, toting his own goldfish baggie with a calico-colored fish floating around inside. He is totally not in festival-appropriate garb, though, since he... doesn't even own a yukata to begin with. Just his everyday clothes.
So he strolls up to Juudai and peers over his shoulder with a silly grin, but doesn't say anything so as not to break his concentration. Not that his mere presence is any less distracting to begin with...]
[Somewhere in the festival there's a small stage and a group of children watching a funny skit think Punch and Judy but in Edo Japan. Guess who's laughing away in the back at the silly humour?]

[Soujiro is walking contentedly beneath the full blooms of the tree, smiling easily at the world about him. His own sword and Shishio's kotetsu attached at his waist he feels a little bogged down, yet that doesn't seem to stop him from leaping up into the branches and getting comfortable there amongst the flowers.
A rain of petals follows in his wake and he chuckles]
[Just at that moment, Rin happens by. She's taking a bit of a breather from the festivities and following that old tradition of cherry blossom viewing by her lonesome. A little unusual, but she lost track of her companions and didn't feel like going to look for them.
Besides, these days, she feels like calling back to mind her time in Edo. What she felt like back there. (What she felt like when she met Manji.)
It just so happens that she sees the rain of petals, though not what has caused it. She perks up at the sight and quickens her step, flits closer and peers up into the treetop.]

[It's almost jarring, to be in a body again, to be fully aware of his body on solid ground. It happens in an instant; one moment the space is clear, and the next there's a teenage boy standing in it, dressed in a navy blue yukata decorated with colorful pink sakura petals.
He carries no sword, not here and now, but there's no panic either for the safety of his precious gamon.
The goddess has not sent him here to fight, on this day. When that time comes, he will have Haiirogamon again.
For today, he blinks eyes that feel a little heavy from too much sleep, shakes himself a little to get this whole 'body' thing down again, and gives a soft little laugh.]

[Yoite is not expecting to see anything at the temple, just to find some nook somewhere he can hide away in and not be so jarringly faced his own failures to interact with people. He still doesn't understand the hows... the whys even. He should just stay away. From everyone except...
