The father-in-law and I have decided that in light of the CW website's epic fail last week, we're just going to pool our resources and buy the season on iTunes. It's fun pretending to be grown-ups with money.

I have heard rumors that this ep received something of a lukewarm reaction from some quarters of fandom. Fair warning, then:

Dude, you could just torrent the episodes. CW posts them anyway (slowly, as you've noted), and the torrents for recent episodes are all TV-quality viewing, so it's not like you're getting anything that you wouldn't be getting for free anyway.

I am glad you were flaily and stuff. There was stuff that I loved muchly about this (Dean fan!boying James Dean's car; Sam speaking Spanish) and some things that kinda hurt the first time around but that I'm wrapping my head around now.

Re: the Stargate actors . . . please to be specific? Because I thought one of the guys at the beginning was Carson Becket (?), but I might be really, really mistaken. (Not an SGA viewer here.)

I love me some home state references, but even *I* feel the frequency of Ohio's Show cameos are getting a bit ridiculous. Guys, there *are* 47 other easily drivable states in the union.

Agreed. I seem to remember thinking, "They're not in Ohio again . . . " in the season opener.

Though my mom just now noticed that the Impala has Ohio plates. Heh.
