Note to self:

As you may already be aware, the purpose of putting a lid on a pot is to keep the heat in. Now, one might be able to deduce from this fact that heat rises (thus the efficacy of the lid) and that there is generally a lot of it under the lid of a boiling pot.

Yup, the food came out yummy! Although I wasn't able to cook it quite long enough (it always takes longer than I think it will since I have to double the recipe) so the lentils were a tad underdone, but still quite good.
