I seem to be having problems with writing pseudo-code. Apart from a 'for' and a 'return' on the end, my program looks more like an English essay than a piece of code.

Tomorrow is the penultimate day of classes.

Hehe. Waterloo Gold are going to be cheerleaders for Waterloo Black in Shanghai. Geir seemed rather happy about this, at least :) Looks like finishing second in the regionals was good enough after all!

So, we got back from the regionals today. Waterloo Black, i.e. Ralph, Matei and I, won. We were the only team to solve all 8 problems. We had a lousy heuristic on one of the problems, but luckily the testcases were all simple enough. Kay, so I'm still in the US. Got the competition results today, and they were rather bad. I ended up at 173th place of 259 contestants. Quite a lot of points were lost to bugs of various kinds, so I'm rather pissed about that. Anybody who have programmed in C have experienced bugs from using a single = as comparison operator instead of a double one ( Read more... )
