Kay, so I'm still in the US. Got the competition results today, and they were rather bad. I ended up at 173th place of 259 contestants. Quite a lot of points were lost to bugs of various kinds, so I'm rather pissed about that. Anybody who have programmed in C have experienced bugs from using a single = as comparison operator instead of a double one. I managed to write == as an assignment operator. And another stupid bug with a mixup of upper and lowercase 'b'. Well, I could go on complaining for quite a while, but I won't, 'cuz actually I'm not really all that upset. (A medal would have been nice though.)

But, as for US, the people hare are really nice. Except for one stupid and rude nevrotic woman, that is. All the others have been really nice.

I'm gonna laugh hard the next time a pizzeria in Norway claims to have 'American' pizza. We went into a steak house / pizzeria where -one- slice of pizza (costing 4 dollars or so) was about the same volume as full, if not large then at least medium, Norwegian American pizza. That was cool.

The whole tomorrow I'll spend abusing my VISA in Chicago. I leave on Sunday. Wonder if something has happend at the university while I was gone.. but hey, while I remember it, Geir (who was a contestant last year bu who is the tems deputy leader this year) asked me to join his team for the National Championship in Programming. So now I have a team.

No music, no mood.

programming, food, trips
