Back in the USA

After, ehm.. 17 years or so in various contries I have returned to the United States. Just arrived here today. I'm participating in the International Olympiad of Informatics. The contest days are on Monday and Tuesday, so wish me luck. (Perhaps not waste you wish if you've not gotten an Amulet of Life Saving yet.. but I digress)

I had birtday last weekend. I got some books and a lot of beer. The beer was from Henrik. When he left from my birthday party he just said "I left two six-packs in the storage room. You can have those as a birthday gift." How considerate. Thought that counts etc.

Additionally, the last week was sort of an indroductory week at the university. Introcutory is pronounced something like 'beer' in Norway. I would actually have had some lectures now (among continued 'indrocution') if I weren't in USA.

And I'm teaching c++ to Henrik on the agreement that he attends the Norwegian Onlympiad of Informatics. He's a bit doubtfull, though, but I'll try to push him through.

programming, trips, alcohol
