*is too unfocused to comment but is totally going to participate later, promise*

Back! ^^ So: I think we could do something fun with a "3 Sentence Ficathon"-type challenge! ^^

Some of my favorites were the Sexy Timez, Elemental, Song, and Last Fan Standing challenges/contests. ^^

And...um...I very much enjoy having our daily discussions/prompts. It's nice to see people participating and staying active. ^^

I liked the prompt/drabble a day for a month thing. Believe it was on DW. And the Disney one (but can't remember if that was this year or last year). And the playlist one.

As for activity, there was a lot of participation and activity for the prompt/drabble a day thing. Maybe because it was doing something in small spurts? For busy people, a drabble here and there is a lot easier than writing one shots or short stories. Maybe doing more small spurt stuff? ... maybe like prompt/drabble a day for Twelve days of Christmas, or some other holiday or seasonal related thing (doesn't have to be a month, obvsly), a drabble-athon (like the HP hump day one at hp_humpdrabbles right now), or a ficlet wishlist event ( HP Humps example again or like the ones at rarepair_shorts, here)... and as for suggestions, I ran an event at the HP hump community a few years ago that might give y'all ideas. (I know. A lot from HP hump day. I modded there for a long time ( ... )

I'd like to see some longer prompts with some time to really write and ruminate on them - some sort of challenging concept we have to be creative with. I might be alone on that, but I do better with longer timeframe projects that are long because that's just how I work!

I agree with @tiredbuthyper. I tend to do better with longer writing times. Themes/prompts in particular don't matter to me (though I did really like the lyric prompts), since if I really feel like writing I can twist just about any prompt to suit my fancy, but having the time to write is an issue. Under normal circumstances, I like to have at least 4 - 6 weeks to put a proper piece together. It doesn't take me that long to do the actual writing, but I tend to spend a lot of time in the 'planning and research' phase. And it doesn't matter whether it's for a drabble, ficlet, proper one-shot, or even a short multi-chapter - it ends up taking me about the same time frame ( ... )
