As you asserted yourself (deliberate word choice), the fear you feel is similar to the kind you felt before you received English papers back sophomore year. But, you also said that your papers almost always came back with positive feedback and fine grades. The fear then was not that you would fail--because you knew you wouldn't in any conventional sense of failure--but because perhaps you would fail your expectations of yourself. However, it is for that precise reason,(your own standards, ambitions, ethic, and overall character)that you have nothing to be afraid of. I will pass on some words that were given to me by my English teacher sophomore year: Your future is bright (with three underlines under the "is").
