Here are two watercolors from the journals I kept during the month of May, while I was volunteering at Farm Sanctuary in Orland, California. I spent the month of May in California, at Farm Sanctuary’s Orland shelter. It was an incredible time that’s difficult to describe. I volunteered as a Shelter Intern, where I cared for animals, and met over a hundred new friends (about eight of them being human).
