Oh, um. They're a bit different than that actually, but s'pose that means you came in with the crowd. An' it's serious. Anythin' could've 'appened to 'er.

Came in with the crowd? I don't know, Chris, nobody in this lot looks local to me. And this girl, she's not even the one in the case. Has there been a second abduction?

...she's the one in the only case I know about. [He was kind of wondering if this was another mistaken identity thing like with Danny but she did call him Chris...] Anyway, they're not local, really. They're from all over.

[Hey, Chris. There's something--someone--lurking about the police station. A someone who, perhaps, makes a noise only to disappear in a puff of glitter once one turns to look. And there may be singing in the basement.]

[Despite the crowds, the sneaky person in the station is starting to seriously freak Chris out. So at the end of the day, when he's downstairs, about to leave for the bar and he hears music coming from the basement, he decides that if something is singing, it's bound to be irritating rather than threatening. So instead of pretending it's not there and avoiding it, he draws attention to it.]

Ray...d'you 'ear that?

[Ray's impatient to get down to the bar, so when Chris draws attention the sound he just spares him an irritated look. He never hears anything weird, not even in this world. Or rather he does, but he ignores them unless he has to. In this case, it doesn't especially seem that important to bring up.]

[As if to answer Ray, the singing from the basement becomes very nearly audible. Perhaps they can pick out a word here or there.]
