For a long time, I had an ExxJ who made random observations about the state of the world. Something was going through her head, and it passed the basic output filter, and so like any good extrovert she said it. Usually it wasn't important for me to act on it: if she needed something, she'd ask directly. Sometimes habit makes it easy to forget that

Communication styles of different personalities can be a huge barrier. I know it's caused its fair share of trouble for me and radiantbaby.

I'v given up on really grokking the motivations of people with very different personality types: I find I interact with them much better if I just accept it as an inexplicable difference of perspective and move on to how to filter and focus my interactions with them such that it all Just Works. Usually. More or less.
