Cara didn't know the first thing about decorating cupcakes. Cara didn't know the first thing about cupcakes full stop. Though she could appreciate the concept now she was aware of it.
She'd also gotten distracted by a small vial of what looked like sparkly sand, and was twisting it to see how it caught the light. Wonder at the Mord'Sith's first experience with glitter, albeit the edible kind.

Rilla was excited about decorating (more so because she didn't have to go near a hot oven), and was enthralled by the very vivid blue food coloring. Susan never used anything like that.

Rilla glanced at Sookie's cupcake, then her own, and blobbed another gob of blue on it. "Hmm," she said thoughtfully. "Maybe I should call it something other than a flower. A bird, perhaps?"

Also there are probably 20 dozen perfectly made cupcakes (Alysha got a little carried away) so decorate as many as you like and take 'em with you.

Until then, she was going to decorate the Hell out of whatever cupcakes were in reach. And eat a bunch, too. As one does.
