Decorating Cupcakes

There's lots and lots of moddable decoration supplies, frostings, sprinkles, anything you could want.

Also there are probably 20 dozen perfectly made cupcakes (Alysha got a little carried away) so decorate as many as you like and take 'em with you.

Oh yes, Cassidy was going to have fun decorating the cupcakes -- and she was planning to take some for her roommate(s) and her big sib, too.

There was a Magic Reserves meeting today. Karla was going to commandeer all unclaimed cupcakes at the end of class to bring along with her.

Until then, she was going to decorate the Hell out of whatever cupcakes were in reach. And eat a bunch, too. As one does.

Her vision for cupcake decoration was grand. Her execution...less so.

Cara didn't know the first thing about decorating cupcakes. Cara didn't know the first thing about cupcakes full stop. Though she could appreciate the concept now she was aware of it.

She'd also gotten distracted by a small vial of what looked like sparkly sand, and was twisting it to see how it caught the light. Wonder at the Mord'Sith's first experience with glitter, albeit the edible kind.

Rilla was excited about decorating (more so because she didn't have to go near a hot oven), and was enthralled by the very vivid blue food coloring. Susan never used anything like that.

"What're you gonna draw on yours?" Sookie asked, scooting over near Rilla.

"I haven't decided yet," Rilla said. "Normally I'm not allowed near the kitchen when cakes are cooling. Do you have a suggestion?"

"I just did flowers and rainbows and hearts and stuff," she said, showing her. "Figured I'd do enough to take some back to share."

"Oh, you're so talented," Rilla enthused. "How did you make it look like a flower? Mine looks like a wobbly blob."

"It doesn't look like a blob," she lied. "Just start with a dot in the middle and go from there -- makes it easier if you have a little starting point like that."

Rilla glanced at Sookie's cupcake, then her own, and blobbed another gob of blue on it. "Hmm," she said thoughtfully. "Maybe I should call it something other than a flower. A bird, perhaps?"

It didn't look like a bird, either.

"Star?" Sookie tried, tilting her head. "Oooh, fireworks, maybe."

Always the optimist, this one.

"And since I've never seen fireworks, I wouldn't know what they look like," Rilla said, sounding pleased. "Tell me that fireworks are blue."

"Sometimes!" Sookie assured her. "They're big blobs of light in the sky. Sometimes they're blue!"

"Then I am decorating my cakes with fireworks," Rilla decided. She was going to be so disappointed with her work when she really saw fireworks. "Thank you. Have you had other classes?"

"Yes," she said, wondering how she would explain Loki's class to Rilla of all people. "Home Ec on Monday and one this morning. This one might be my favorite so far, though that Aquaman guy's...at least nice."

If not sane, anyway.
