Well, the process of getting my braces on was painless and fast! I am sooooo impressed with my orthodontist! Not only is he good at what he does, but he's hilarious and he really cares about his patients. When the assistant was prepping me today, he came in and waved at me and told her to "take good care her. That's my buddy Tina." hahahaha ( Read more... )

I'm glad they took good care of you...make sure you take good care of yourself too! And yes, I think 95% of food doesn't make it past the braces just keeping a snack around for later, right?. I love it that you got purple spacers. And you shall rock those spacers!!!

hahaha I've been a mess with eating since I got home. I'm like, "BUT HOW IS IT STILL EVERYWHERE?" LOL It will be a process!

hahahaha. You were posting to LJ while we were watching Sherlock. I love it. Sherlock and Jahnnnnn getting drunk is kind of perfect for this post. ;)

I'm really glad it's not as bad as anticipated. I was so busy thinking about how much your mouth had to hurt and totally forgot about you needing to relearn how to eat. Imagine when this is all done and your teeth are in the best shape of your life and you can... eat corn on the cob! It's going to be amazing.

I'm so glad I'm doing this too and I totally would have done if I didn't trust Dr. Pate and Dr. Barfield so much. They are just amazing.

The lady who did a lot of work on me today was named Annette and she's pretty damned amazing too. Explained everything to me as we went along and took a lot of time afterwards to tell me about what all I would need to do to take care of them and stuff.
